MIKE AND MARCO

Mike Flanagan & Marco Perfetti first combined forces to form a group to perform at various events around the U.S. Together they have performed at Bear Pride in Chicago and Boston Pride, and each year they perform at Bear Week in Provincetown, MA.

In Tallinn, Mike Flanagan and Marco Perfetti will perform a lively duo-set of both original songs and favourite covers. The audience will get to curate some of the songs performed.

They currently hold a weekly live-music-residency in Manhattan, NY in the LGBTQ neighbourhood of Chelsea, at ReBar on Sunday afternoons. Beyond the stage and close friendship, Mike & Marco collaborate as songwriters, submitting co-writes to various artists.

Mike

Recording Artist Mike Flanagan aka MikeMRF released his new album Mob Music 2 on October 18, 2019. The album hit #39 on the iTunes R&B Albums Chart and was featured on Apple Music. Three songs are featured in Amazon Prime TV Show "30 The Series" Mike is a winner of the 2017 Lennon Award: Hip-Hop Category in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for his original song "Mob Music". Mob Music is the title-track off of his iTunes Chart-Topping sophomore album. 

 

In 2014, Mike won 2 OUTmusic Awards (with 5 nominations - the most that year) including the highly coveted Humanitarian Songwriter of the Year for his song "Be Strong (LGBT Youth)". "Be Strong" was selected as Boston Pride's Flag-Raising Anthem.  Jazz ballad "This Love" placed Top 10 in the U.S. Songwriting Competition. The Mob Music album also placed on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart and has had several songs appear in TV (Off Season) and Film (Bear City 2) both of which Mike acted in. 

 

The album was followed by his 2016 EP, Yasko Sensei, dedicated to his mentor and music-hero Yasko Kubota. It placed at #11 on the iTunes Jazz Albums Charts and #2 on Billboard's Most Added Chart for radio-single "Makes Me Wonder". 

 

Mike holds a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Saxophone & Music Education from Berklee College of Music, as well as a Master's of Music in Music Theory & Composition from New York University where he currently teaches Songwriting and Composition as an Adjunct Professor. Mike has performed with Ada Vox, Matt Alber, Esera Tuaolo, Ruth Pointer (Pointer Sisters), Cassandra Wilson, Esperanza Spalding, Varla Jean Merman and many more.

Mark

Mark is the musical project of Italian singer-songwriter Marco Perfetti. From the mountains of northern Tuscany to the skyscrapers of New York City, via Boston, Massachusetts, Marco has been performing live and recording music for the past 17 years. He’s the winner of the 2009 international competition Tour Music Fest and participated in the first edition of the Italian X-Factor.

 

Marco moved to the USA in 2012, after winning a scholarship for Berklee College of Music. He has performed nationally and internationally all over the USA and Europe. Some of his highlight performances include the historic Piper Club in Rome, Canadian Music Week Festival in Toronto, the Legendary Cotton Club in New York City, The Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia, and a sold-out tour in the Czech Republic.

 

The first album "Flesh & Voice", was released in April 2014. His style is pop-rock, influenced by other genres like soul, and folk. The songs showcase Marco’s vocal abilities and deliver strong, powerful arrangements though still keeping a soft acoustic side.

Perfect Mark is planning to release new music in the spring of 2020.
