Creat and Tallinn Bearty team up for Helsinki Pride again

Hello Helsinki, hello rainbow family!

Helsinki Pride is about to begin with week-long of events, Mon-Sun 27.6-3.7, and Tallinn Bearty with the Creat team has come forward with another set of great pop-up exhibitions.

Some of you might recall we did a pop-up of London’s LOVED Gallery project six years ago. That was great!

Now, in June 2022, as Tallinn Bearty had its wonderfully successful post-pandemic visual arts edition, we have lots of reason to spill the joy and export works of 3 artists shown in Tallinn also to Helsinki - thanks to our friends and supporters Janne Flinkkilä of Creat, and Anu Kantola, with their respective crews, but also Helsinki’s Kallio Library and Paja&Bureau workshop for providing the space.

Already since early June, there’s been a double pop-up at Helsinki‘s Kallio Library - Glenn Quigley (IRE) and Alex Prestia (USA). Alex conjured his oil series Keep Painting, especially for Tallinn Bearty 2022. Glenn, however, shows his magnificent portraits of characters from his own written LGBT novel The Moth and Moon.

The third artist brought to Helsinki is Ciro Marra (ESP), an Italian artist living in Barcelona, a series of works named Erotica. His show will open the same day as Helsinki Pride week, with a free for all reception - Monday 27th June at 6 pm, gallery Paja&Bureau.
